Signal does not collect browsing history, does not store page contents, and does not use cookies or tracking identifiers.
Signal is powered by the TinyFish Web Agent API, which you access with your own API key. Signal sends TinyFish:
TinyFish processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy, available at tinyfish.ai. Signal has no control over TinyFish’s handling of data.
On academic sites, Signal reads the visible text of the page inside your browser to decide whether it is a researcher profile, and on Google Scholar profile pages it extracts the researcher’s name, affiliation, and interests directly. This text stays in your browser. It is not stored and is not sent anywhere.
Signal does not request access to non-academic websites.
Signal is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
